    NASHUA SCHOOL DISTRICT IS SEEKING AN ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND ASSESSMENT for July 1, 2017 to provide district level leadership to schools to enhance student learning, improve student assessment, and facilitate an alignment among standards, assessments, accountability systems and school improvement initiatives. Coordinates state and local assessment programs for students, complying with the NH Department of Education requirements for school accountability and adequate yearly progress. Conduct data analysis, interpret results of student assessment, and establish professional development programs to assist teachers in making use of data for the improvement of instruction. Provide ongoing support and supervision to secondary school principals and programs and to the Superintendent in formulating and implementing district goals, policies, budgets and plans. Collaborate with Principals, Directors and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in carrying out these responsibilities.

NH Superintendent certification or eligibility is required with eight years of experience of educational experience with significant experience in educational administration, supervision, assessment, curriculum planning and teaching, demonstrating capabilities in data analysis and program evaluation, including three years of significant educational administration experience. The successful candidate will have a collaborative management style, excellent communication skills, high energy leadership and a desire to work in a school system with a diverse population.

Lunenburg, incorporated in 1728, is governed by the open town meeting form of government. Occupying a land area of approximately 26.4 square miles, the Town is located in north central Massachusetts approximately 43 miles from Boston, it is bordered on the west by the Town of Ashby and the City of Fitchburg, on the south by the Town of Lancaster and the City of Leominster, on the east by the Town of Shirley, and on the north by the Town of Townsend.
